[W]hen you specialize, especially today, there is no greater gift than to have some familiarity with the humanities so you can have a more global perspective…. It disturbs me when folks concentrate on just one field and limit their minds. This is a gift that the ancients have given to us, and we should embrace it and not be restricted. Humanities can enlarge the perspective of life.

Through the generous support of the Cyril S. Lang ’49 Center for the Humanities Endowment Fund, the Lafayette College Humanities Center is able to offer special programming to the campus and community at large, including faculty grants for humanities related projects that expose current students to cutting edge humanities work, enlarging their perspective of life.

More information about the different kinds of faculty grants can be found here.
